How to Use DeformationDB
Welcome to the DeformationDB! This guide will help you navigate and utilize the search and filter functionalities effectively.
1. Basic Search
Use the search box to find articles containing specific keywords related to deformation and machine learning. For example:
InSAR- Finds all articles containing the term "InSAR".Machine Learning- Finds all articles containing the term "Machine Learning".
2. Advanced Search with Operators
You can use AND and OR operators to combine multiple search terms:
- AND Operator: Returns articles that contain all the specified terms.
- Example:
InSAR and GPS- Finds articles that contain both "InSAR" and "GPS". - OR Operator: Returns articles that contain any of the specified terms.
- Example:
Deep Learning or Random Forest- Finds articles that contain either "Deep Learning" or "Random Forest".
3. Using Preset Filters
Preset filters are predefined keywords that you can quickly apply to your search. These filters help in narrowing down the results based on common terms:
- InSAR
- Deep Learning
- Machine Learning
- GPS
- GNSS
- Random Forest
- Time Series
To use a preset filter, simply click on the desired filter button. You can select multiple filters to refine your search further.
4. Year Filter
Use the year dropdown menu to filter articles by publication year. Selecting a specific year will display only the articles published in that year.

Each article entry has a Read button. Click this button to open a modal window displaying the abstract of the article.
7. Combining Search and Filters
You can combine search queries with preset filters to perform more targeted searches. For example:
- Search for articles containing both "InSAR" AND "GPS" with the preset filter "Machine Learning":
- Enter
InSAR and GPSin the search box and select the "Machine Learning" preset filter. - Search for articles containing "Deep Learning" OR "Random Forest" without any preset filters:
- Enter
Deep Learning or Random Forestin the search box.
8. Highlighting Search Terms
Search terms and preset filter keywords are highlighted in the results to help you quickly identify relevant information.
Example Use Cases
Example 1: Find articles that mention both "InSAR" and "GPS".
